Gerardo Rubio Monroy is a dedicated researcher with a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in Neuroscience from the University of San Francisco. Within our research team, Gerardo plays a crucial role in two pivotal studies: Chronic Liver Diseases in Underserved Populations and Alcohol Liver Disease. In the former, he meticulously collects small liver biopsy specimens, contributing essential data to our understanding of liver diseases and their impact on marginalized communities. Meanwhile, in the Alcohol Liver Disease study, Gerardo administers surveys to patients, delving into the social determinants that may influence disease progression.
